If you’re interested in upgrading to something that’s actually worth reading, why don’t you try some of the books Bella says she likes? Wuthering Heights is one.

Yeah, you can try Jane Austen, but if you like the style of Twilight, I think you’ll find Austen a bit boring and slow (still good though, Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice)

If you haven’t, go read the Harry Potter series. J.K. Rowling is a superb writer, and her books have action, romance, deep meaning, are emotional, and basically everything you want in a book. ; ) PLUS they are thought-provoking!!! Which is GOOD. And they are well-written, and the characters are realistic & you can relate to them, and Mary Sues don’t exist in the HP world (Bella + Edward = MARY SUES TO THE EXTREME).
Don’t let anyone tell you Harry Potter is "for kids", because that’s definitely not the case.
Moving on…
Stephen King is also a great horror author. He surpasses J.K. Rowling in writing style, and his books are all just so amazing.
The Artemis Fowl series is also very good – some might label them as too "childish", but the truth is, the books are very good. They have action, deep meanings (VERY deep meaning), and are emotional at some points. I adore Artemis Fowl, so you should definitely check it out.

Sophie Kinsella also writes some pretty great chick lits. The Shopaholic Series’ first few books are great, but then they kind of go downhill (you’ll love the first one, though). The Shopaholic movie is kinda… eh, but if you like the book, you’ll like the movie.
Can You Keep a Secret? is honestly my FAVOURITE chick lit ever – it’s so hilarious!!! Definitely check it out, it’s hilarious and you’ll honestly be cracking up (I don’t laugh aloud often with books, this one I did). Plus, the romance is great! XD
Also, you might like the Blue Bloods Series by Melissa de la Cruz.
Meg Cabot also has some really good teen books. The Princess Diaries are good, though I find they stretch on and get boring after a few. My personal favourite by her is Avalon High, it’s amazing in so many ways. Stay away from Teen Idol, though – it tricks you, and the synopsis lies.
FOR VAMPIRE BOOKS… (since everyone requests this crap, I might as well add it in – just in case it’s what you like, and someone else who reads this)
VAMPIRE KISSES by Ellen Schreiber, definitely!! It has the same Human x Vampire romance theme (except vampires don’t sparkle – thank the Lord).
Then you have The Eternal Kiss by Christina Kelly.
Also, IMHO, The Vampire Diaries are waaaay better than Twilight.

I LOVE THIS SERIES A LOT. Got into it fast and am sad that I’m done. I’m waiting for the next ones to come out. There are 4 so far. Has love, drama, and lots of action in it. High school/vampires/etc
I loved reading it and loved the main character (Rose) she is freaking awesome. I love how she is always the person telling the point of view also. With Bella…I liked it, she amused me because she was so clutzy LOL but I was kinda mad. I wanted to read Edwards point of view and the other vampires…………with this series I’m glad its Rose. I’m not a big fan of the princess, Rose’s best friend and I’d not want to read her point of view…..if it was in her point of view I’d probably not read it ,I would have stopped reading it right away lol. I’d not mind reading Rose’s love interest or her best friends boyfriends point of view but I don’t have to read theres. I’m happy with only Rose’s.
So yes its a very good series. Lots of cute parts in it, some sad emotionally parts that made me cry (and I don’t cry too often so that’s saying something lol)

There are 3 books so far but more soon. There are tons of stories and characters. Has lots of love, romance, action, drama, witches, vampires, humans, ghosts, shapeshifters, and were wolfs. I love these books. They are awesome.
